Furry Friends Adoption Day - Blessing of the Animals

7/12/2014

A fun day at the Manakin Market was recently celebrated with our furry friends!  People brought their favorite pooch and other small animals (or farm animals) for a Blessing of the Animals (and their masters) on Saturday, July 12 by our vicar, John Maher.  Goochland County Animal Control was there with some dogs available for adoption, and Debbie with Mid-Atlantic Springer English Spaniel Rescue also had a few pups looking for their forever homes.  2SpeakDogs demonstrated "Understanding Placement, How to communicate to your pup through body language and energy", too!  Also, Pawsome Pet treats was there with a variety of healthy homemade treats, including a frozen treat to cool their friends down at the market (which were also available for take home).
