Mid-Week Discussion Series
If you recall, as an experiment during the summer we had a Wednesday evening service on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from June 4th through September 3 from 6:00 pm-7:15 pm. This was done for two reasons:
- Many of our newest members have jobs are family circumstances which make Sunday mornings difficult, if not impossible, to devote to corporate worship every week. Another time of the week makes corporate worship more of a possibility for those who are prevented from attending on a Sunday.
- Many of us have friends who are interested but have not yet made a connection to St. Francis because of the requirements of their jobs or family circumstances.
A new discussion series meeting every other Wednesday from 6:00 pm-7:15 pm has been scheduled for this fall which will be led by Carol Maher. The series is entitled "More With Jesus in Matthew". Here is the schedule:
- September 17, 2014 - Matthew 9:9-13
- October 1, 2014 - Matthew 10:1-10
- October 15, 2014 - Matthew 12:1-14
- November 5, 2014 - Matthew 14:25-32
We will us the same discussion questions we have been using this past summer:
- What does this story say about people?
- What does this story say about Jesus?
- What does this story say about you?
- Who needs to hear this story?
Who needs to hear about this gathering? Bring them along!
